Latest incarnation of the Invicta platform which has seen various upgrades over time. This is a full FPGA equipped, 8 DACs per channel, fully balanced design, made by the same ESS engineers who developed the chips themselves, so they know how to get the best performance out of them.

It also has an SD card reader to play back music directly. Direct SD playback sounds better than my old Innuos Zenith music server, but any source (USB, AES, BNC, optical) still sounds great. Also has volume controls for direct amp connection with no preamp needed, all controlled by Apple remote.

Unit is in mint condition, used for around 2 years. Compared favorably to Audio Research, PS Audio, Metrum, Chord, and many other more expensive DACs I tried. Eventually replaced it with a far more costly dCS unit so this one needs to go.

Includes the unit itself, Apple remote, original box, and a 256GB Samsung SD card filled with demo music including high res PCM and DSD.

Paid $8,000 and asking $3500 obo.
