Been researching a 300B amp for quite a bit visited an audio show and I had the chance to audition an American name-brand tube amplifier, sadly the 12k price tag was beyond my reach.  So I came across the Muzishare R100 300B 845 and 805, can someone share with me the differences between the 845 tube and tube 805 besides wattage power?  Sorry, I'm not truly versed in this expertise so guidance would be helpful~ 

I have the Cayin A-88T which I love and runs EL34/KT88 also, I have a Jolida 1102 with upgraded caps, etc which I may be letting go soon.  This Muzishare R100 300B 805 sounds pretty amazing but some say that the 845 is more musical but what do I know!

I haven't heard an 845 tube but I have a Line Magnetic LM-508 which uses the 805 and its amazing sounding. I was originally looking at the Line Magnetic LM-845ia but when I did some research and spoke to the dealer he said anyone who heard both amps preferred the 805. The 845 has amazing reviews but he said the 805, which is about double the power in this amp, just had more impact and dynamics without losing any of the musicality. The added power also makes it more versatile to work with less efficient speakers. It is stunning, however I am selling it, even though I might regret it, but I really want to check out a linear tube audio amp. There does seem to be more 845 amps but I highly recommend a quality amp using the 805 tubes.

Oh, and I can't be certain about this but looking at the chassis and some of the parts I think Muzishare might be manufactured by Line Magnetic, or at least they share some parts or are somehow "related."

Line Magnetic is a FANTASTIC tube amp and if they are being built by the same factory even better!~  I did some research on YouTube and it appears that the 805 sounded more musical vs the 845 but then again I can't judge much from watching videos.. It would be nice to audition them both!

Personally, I prefer the 805 both for power and musicality.  The both have a "big" fuller yet refined sound. Much diffe4ent than a 300B . I would recommend listening to some examples before deciding. The only down fall is that the big triode are also space heater and AC eaters (lots of current).
Take the time to look for pieces to audition and see if big triode are for you but overall, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Thanks Bill, I would love to audition a few in person but locally here in Chicago is hard to do since I don't know who sells SET amps...  Most sell Push Pull tube amps~

Hi Bill. Have you tried any NOS 805s, and, if so, which are your favorites. Are you able to compare them?

I have the Muzishare R100 805 version.  It is one incredible amp.  I have swapped all the original tubes out with NOS, with the exception of the 805 tubes (which have been swapped with new Psavane Cossor 805, as selection of the 805 with the top cap is very limited.)

I have the amp driving a set of Magnepan 1.7i in a med-large room, and they have no problem driving the set to very adequate loudness levels.

I’m biased towards SET 300b amps. There is something magical about a high efficiency speaker and a low watt 300b.

I'm also new to tubes..
I own a Decware Mystery amp (EL34, KT66) , and a Aric Audio Super 300B Set..

I spoke to the owners before purchase, they made me feel more comfortable with my purchase..

Decware has some reasonable priced products that come with a Lifetime warranty , not to mention a huge following, so if you don't care for a Decware amp it will easily sell for 80-85% of the original cost..
To me buying form Decware was easy because you only have to put around 15% down payment and make payments as it being built (3-4 months)..

Aric was (only 2-4 weeks build time), but you can ask for upgrades if you can afford them..

Both Aric Kimball, and Steve Deckert  are both very nice guys that are interested in selling something that will work for you, not trying to sell you anything to make a buck..
