SOLD!I may regret this but there is other gear I wish to purchase and these will need to go.
I have enjoyed them immensely. They are without a doubt the clearest, most dimensional, and quietest solid state amps I have ever owned.
When I bought them I didn't realize the new speakers I bought a few months later would be so efficient. Thus I have been using my tube amps most of the time. It seems wrong to hang on to these when someone else could benefit.
They are 600 watts into 8 ohms and 1200 watts into 4 ohms using Ice Edge 1200AS amps. Also capable of playing into 2 ohms. If you have low efficiency speakers or just speakers that you would like some more oomph for, these are the ones.
There is only one XLR input on each amp. I used a single ended male RCA to male XLR adapter on my DAC and ran an XLR cable to each amp. If necessary I will include the adapters and a pair of Audio Envy XLR cables with the amps for a minor charge.
They look like they did the day they arrived with one exception. There are four pieces of double sided tape on the bottom four corners where I attached Herbie's Tender Feet. They do come with there own feet that do not screw in but sit on the bottom in place. This makes it easy to try different footers.
There are two IEC inlets on the back. The bottom one is connected and the top is not. The top IEC is there because the chassis was available with two separate modules, each using a separate power cord.
Ric Schultz is extraordinary at modifying gear. He worked on these for about 5 months getting them to where he was satisfied.
As a comparison I owned a pair of Mivera Ice Edge 1200AS amps and while they were very, very good, the EVS 1200 is in another league.
