I’ve decided to sell my Line Magnetic LM-508 integrated amp. I purchased this a couple of years ago from Pitch Perfect Audio. This is the US version and is authentic. This is a class A SET tube integrated but what sets it apart is using 805 tubes it musters 48 wpc. I’ve used it to drive speakers as low as 83db sensitive and it didn’t have any issues getting them up to high enough volume for me. However, this amp really shines when using speakers that are more sensitive. I used it most with Salk Song 3’s and it is glorious. The Salks are 89db efficient and 8ohm, so easy to drive for the LM-508. If you have speakers that are more sensitive it will shine even more.
This amp is superb with vocals and texture and tone. It also has incredible dynamics. There is a 4-step negative feedback dial so you can adjust the sound to your taste. It also has dual VU meters that are also used for tube biasing. It has 4, 8, and 16 ohm taps to match whatever speakers you use. The remote is solid aluminum and controls the volume and mute.
This is simply the best sounding amp I’ve ever had. I’ll probably regret selling it, but I have some other products I want to try out and I just can’t afford to keep this and move on to something else at the same time. I'm open to discussing a trade for a Sachs Preamp or LTA amp.
I have some videos of the amp in action on my youtube channel. Here are some links (sorry, recorded with my iPhone):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UUjEeNHo8KAhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VTjxHzIZ3bw&t=6sFull disclosure... This amp was purchased new from Pitch Perfect Audio. Shortly after receiving it I had a loud hum from a transformer. It only occurred if the amp was on for 2-3 hours. However, Pitch Perfect Audio took care of me and had the amp sent to a tech who repairs Line Magnetic. The tech replaced the bad transformer, power supply choke, and since there had been a reported issue in an online thread about this amp and a capacitor issue, I had that capacitor replaced just in case, not to mention a thorough inspection. This was in 2019. The unit came back and sounded much better than when I received it and I haven't had any issues since. I rated this amp an 8 since it had gone in for a repair, but cosmetically and functionally it is more of a 9.
Here’s the link to Line Magnetic’s site with more specs on the amp:

Also, like a lot of SET tube amps there is a very slight hum. Once music is on I cannot hear it and it does not affect the enjoyment of this amp, but I want to make sure I mention it up front. Again, this is typical with this type of amp and is not a flaw.
Asking price is $3900. Not only will you get the amp, but at my asking price I am also including all of the extra tubes I have acquired for it (about $1000 worth of tubes). This includes:
2 Genalex Gold Lion 300B tubes
2 Shuguang 805 Nature Sound Series tubes
1 Shuguang WE6SL7 Plus tube (love this tube)
2 Shuguang CV181-z (6sn7) Black Treasure tubes
2 Sylvania 6SN7GT “Bad Boy” NOS tubes from Brent Jesse
1 Tung Sol 6SU7GT (6sl7) NOS tube from Vintage Tube Services
The amp will ship in the original box with the stock tubes, tube cage, remote, power cord and the extra tubes will ship separately. I’m asking for a flat $50 shipping charge, which likely won’t even cover half of the actual charges. Buyer is responsible for 3% PayPal fee, or you can use PayPal Friends and Family to avoid the fee. I have all positive feedback on Audiogon, US Audiomart, eBay, etc.
