I was way later than JohnR....1991-2 when I got my Rotel RCD965BX.

First CD was Pink Floyd ' The Wall'. Was still toking a bit 11 years ago....

first 8 track .. Bob Dylan's greatest hits
first cassette .. never bought a comercial casset, sound quality was poor
first VHS .. Hatari w/ John Wayne
first LD .. Song of the south (before I even had a player)
first DVD .. Blade Runner w/ Harrison Ford

That's easy Worldwind. You remember what is important.

First LP was probably U2 - Boy.
First CD was Sinead O'Connor - Lion and the Cobra. I still have it and it still kicks ass. Brilliant, violent stuff. She was angry.
First DVD. Sarah McLachlan - Mirrors. It was cheap and I was dying to try out my laptop with DVD player.

I really like the Boy Album by U2, first I'd heard of them. Out of control was my fave.

I did have all of my first discs until recently. My Queensyrche CD got ripped off about 7 years ago & I had to buy a new one. I had the two Priest discs I got day one, but when the (superb) remaster series came out, and proved greatly superior to the old CDs, I sold & gave away the originals.

D'oh! Even tho I no longer needed them, if I'd have been thinking in terms of them being my first ever CDs I might have kept them!
