The VAC company has made hand crafted state of the art tubed amps and preamps since 1989. They combine old school basic point to point wiring and simple time tested design with modern day technology. Every unit is individually fine tuned and listened to by Founder Kevin Hayes. They are overbuilt. Their current products are quite costly and Kevin points to his early designs as the foundation for the new units.
The "Vintage" full function preamp for sale has been upgraded to a full Mark 3 designation. They used their best capacitors, the same that are used in their $12,000.00 dollar Renaissance preamps. All switches and controls are precise and quiet operating. The high gain Phono section is superb. NOS Mullard 12ax7, Mullard 12au7, Tungsram 12ax7 and Matsushita 12ax7 tubes included. Cosmetically this is much nicer in person than in the photo the 7/10 Condition rating is conservative. The soundstage is excellent...wide, tall and has nice depth. This unit is for sale as I have decided against a second system.
The Owner's Manual is included, and should be read before use. The original box is also included.
