Bryston serial number ?
« on: 31 May 2020, 02:15 pm »
Been searching for a serial # look up website. Many people have different theories on how to look up a Bryston serial #

Mine is 809761 , I believe its an 8, serial numbers look a bit smudged.

Date code is a way to look up how old your equipment is and whether it is in the warranty period

Beginning in an 8 would mean its an 8B Amplifier.

If that's correct then the 6-digit serial number could only differentiate between 10 unique units per month?

I'm only guessing, looking at other threads with the same request. The only consistent part of the serial number is the product which is referred by the 1st number after that its just random I believe.

Email MIke and he can look up the production card and tell you the details.

Thanks, I'm actually going to send the amp in for a new power cord. I'll ask him then. Thanks again for your time James.

Wow, other than the information tag, how can you tell this is made in Canada? Red Robbie anyone? Nice!

Cheers,
