I looked inside mine to check out the possibility of improving the power supply. It uses an unregulated 18v dc wall wart that feeds an onboard 15 voltage regulator. Anyone have any ideas for a better alternative to the wall wart for this application?
I have no complaints about the sound of mine except the way it colored the L&R output to my main speakers. The easy fix for that was to split my L&R preamp output and run one set to the ICBM for L&R bass and the other directly to the L&R amp and speakers. I can use passive in-line high pass filters to roll off bass in the main speakers if necessary (so far, not necessary).
Combining the ICBM with a Behringer parametric gives me as much bass management/sub tuning control as one could expect this side DEQX. This combo costs less than the R-DES and is much more flexible, especially for multi-channel.
