Hello from Saint Paul
« on: 13 May 2020, 07:18 pm »
Hi All-

Stumbled on this forum through a thread related to the Klipsch Forte III and decided to join! I am very much on the newer side of good audio and building out as my budget allows. I started with a basic system and have since become borderline obsessed. I like tinkering as much as I do listening and am always planning or trying to make something better. And in a few cases I have made things worse.

TD160 with a cherry plinth I made, new dark faceplate, Michell Technoarm and VM540ML (recent change from JH Formula 4 w/ Stanton 681)
Hagerman Bugle 2 with a cherry case I made for it.
HK 430 that was my first restoration project, new caps, trim pots, and replaced some problematic transistors
Klipsch Forte II, new caps and ti tweeters from crites, 10" sand-filled MDF stands that I built to get them off the ground. Thinking about crossover upgrades, maybe this norez everyone talks about :)
Frugel Horn XL - built these over the winter and really like them.

Next project - fix a couple HK PM660s I messed up, or at least get one running.

After that - Aleph J

Great to meet all of you!
