This is a tough one. I really like this DAC but I think I’m going to let it go.

Why? Well I really miss having a remote so as to switch the source and adjust the volume without having to leave my chair. Like the Cherry amps this DAC is cut from the same cloth. It sounds bloody fantastic but without a remote it’s too much like having a turntable as far as all the key operations go.

I’m interested in this model, but like you, I dislike the lack of a remote volume control.  I’m curious, did you withdraw the sale because you came up with a solution for the remote volume control?  Are you going to mod the unit?  Add a remote passive preamp?
