Has anyone ever used open cell foam then roxul insulation? It's a sound attenuation? Does anyone have any input?

NoRez has a dampening layer and a foam layer. It is easy to cut, especially with a table saw, and has a PSA backing. It's super easy to work with.

Not sure I would use the Roxul unless you just don’t have other options. NoRez is really good, easy to install and really helps damp lively box walls. I also like cotton acoustic insulation, natural wool and even felt for mid range and mid woofer boxes. Good old fashion fiberglass insulation is surprisingly good for bass.

If you are stuffing boxes to increase the volume the woofer sees for tuning, some trial and error is par for the course. I prefer a correct box tuning than lots of stuffing. Hard to cheat the laws of physics and you can easily “over stuff’ a woofer bin and mess up the sound.

For the Av3 TL's ,  I'd recommend   no-rez for damping  the walls, the  install   acusti-stuff in the areas that call for  poly fill.

CCD no-Rez is really great stuff. Easy to work with and neutral to the air space of the speaker so there’s no impact on tuning. Well worth the price IMO.
