To answer some of the questions.
Here is the measured on axis response of the Paradigm Studio 60's.

Looks great huh.
Want to see what the crossover response looks like? The drivers aren't even in phase.

How about that spectral decay?

And I don't need to say anything about the crossover. It speaks for itself.

Then there was the diffraction issue from the way the tweeter was mounted. I threw on a few stripes of felt and took care of that problem.

Here are the measurements before and after the simple felt fix. Want to take a guess as to which measurement was with the felt and which one was without?

Hi Danny,
Thank you very much! I appreciate you taking the time to post those measurements and Photo's!
Those are Paradigm V5's which were leaps and bounds better designed and better measured than the older V1's (which I have). So..any ideas I had about upgrading or keeping these V1's are gone.
Those results and your "displeasure" with them, led me to do some serious investigating.
It was very eye opening to say the least in some ways.
I searched out some of the bigger reviews from reputable reviewers (Kal R. , John A, etc..)
They ALL found the same issues (and posted them) in their measurements with the V5's as your measurements showed. Pretty much identical results.
Yet....for what ever reason, they didn't really shine a light on the diffraction issues, phase issues etc. Nope, they praised them.
How does a speaker measure so poorly so consistently (by that I mean, everyone saw the same issues in their graphs) , yet report they sound fantastic for the price tag?
Very interesting.
The power of hype and marketing really does shine bright!
