Kia ora from New Zealand

Hello all, Kia ora from New Zealand,
As far back as I can remember I've always been fascinated with all things HIFI and Car audio related, I've always been fiddling with speakers, wires, connectors, analog and digital, to see if I could make it better.
Unfortunately due to finances (true audiophile don't come cheap), physical space and the wife (they never get it), I have not been able to live the dream some audiophiles have, but still, I try to get the absolute best out of what I have and sneak in something new under the wife's radar every now and then  8)
My current setup is quite modest, I have a Yamaha RX-V 675 receiver, playing through a set of Sony speakers that originally came with the Sony Muteki 7.2 setup. My music preference, well it depends on the day, some may think I have 1000 personalities, it could range from light classical all the way to hard rock and metal.
Well that's me, looking forward to contribute where I can and tap into the vast knowledge on the forum.

  • To whom more was given more will be required.
    • Never go to a psychiatrist, adopt a straycat or dog. On the street they live only two years average.
