Oh good heavens.

I live in the boonies in Northern California, where the closest town has about 12,000 people.  My neighbor can do the workworking and most of the machining.  There are two or three local machine shops that can do the rest.  A colleague and friend can do the Autocad and Solidworks modeling if it is required.

These places exist.  They are common.

Woodworking is an expensive hobby. Before you go out looking for tools I would
look into any adult education classes in woodworking being offered in your area.
You would get the proper training and once completed you can use the shop for your own
projects for a nominal fee.
Then you can make the decision to start investing in tools.

YouTube probably has all the info and cabinet building directions you need to build speakers, you just have to figure out what to ask it.

Wow! this I did not expect. So much information. Thanks folks!

I have a table saw and most likely will get a router and table for this and other stuff.
I have a fair amount of hand woodworking tools and am a big fan of Paul Sellers on YouTube.

I may go the flat pack route but I have a fair amount of black walnut trees that are about to be taken down.

I may have a log milled and kiln dried for the purpose of a cabinet.  We will see.

Let's keep this going for future newbies like myself. I'm sure this question will come up.

Thanks again!

I am not a woodworker.  My first attempt was to build a unique tubular sealed sub cabinet.  I spent around $300 just for the tools I needed:  router, router bit set, circle jig (which I broke halfway through the job), circular saw and blade, 8 clamps of varying sizes, glue, sandpaper.  I got it done with a little help from a buddy but it was not pretty.

I ended up selling the circular saw though I still have everything else in storage.  I did use the clamps again when I glued the flat packs for my OB subs and Super 7 monitors.

I prefer to have someone else cut the cabinets.

A couple of things to note.

That torx bit you'll need is actually a number 15.

And enough wire comes in each kit. If you make a mistake and need more then let me know. The wire is not ordinary run of the mill stranded wire in PVC. And using our wire throughout will give you the best result.

Best of all there is a great community of people here willing to help and I am usually just a phone call away if I need to walk you through something or answer a question.
