Never seems to be "the right thing to say" with pets. In the 90's (when you helped me with a humming Super Pas 3) I lived in an urban area where lots of strays/ferals were. At one time, I had 7 cats in my care. The first, Scat was a Maine Coon and the most unusal cat I ever had. Loved car rides, boat rides, going for walks where she stayed right with us. She developed a heart condition and after a 2000 dollar corrective surgery, passed.
She was 16, not very old. They grew older, ranging from 18, several 20 and one Russian blue at least 25 years old. They all passed within 8 months or so, after a lifetime of company. Those trips to the vet (Cat specialist no less) were terrible. They were
cremated and I still have the ashes of each one.
Well, not long after I got a yellow boy kitten. Abandoned in the middle of a rural highway. he's a full grown prize now, and a calico kitten, and a tiny runt who would not leave her came home. They are all 10 now. Best friends ever! so much pleasure these guys give! Never hold a grudge. It really seems whole conversations are completely understood. When you really make them family, and involve them in your day to day, I swear we know exactly what the other wants...
So sorry for the loss, thanks for the audio!
