Innuos VS Aurender
« on: 17 Mar 2020, 01:01 pm »
Hi All, New here and just wanted to start a post to get "started "
I am shopping for a new music server and have narrowed it down to The Aurender N100H-4TB or the Innuos Zen MK3-4TB . I have studied and know pretty much all the different options .
I am mainly interested in sound quality VS each other . They both seem to have great reviews and price is about the same . So the opinions of you out there will weigh a lot on which way I go .
I really can't make up my mind at this time .
  Thanks-- Solar

Welcome to AudioCircle.  I own a Zen mk. 3 with 2TB but have never heard the Aurender.  Please post your findings when you do decide to purchase one.

Do these devices have their own dacs? That would be the most important deciding factor for me. I use a MS-2 from Rich with JRiver and a separate dac so I have flexibility.

While from a dealer, there's a comparison of features here that some might find useful:

My Zen is USB out only with no DAC.  The Zen Mini has an onboard DAC as well as USB, SPDIF and Toslink outs.  And can be a server instead if that's what you need.  Good charts, Phil

I’ve had an Aurender X100L for several years (USB out) connected to a MW Oppo UDP-205.  Sound quality is excellent and customer service is outstanding.

The Aurender has consistent firmware updates to both the player and app.

I’ve heard the A10 with internal DAC and it is also excellent.

Never heard the Innuos, but have read reviews seems like a great player.

For the record guys-- I forgot to mention that I do have a Dac . Both of these units ( N100H anh Zen MK3  ) would need a Dac , and would be going  ,USB  , into my PS Audio Direct stream JR .
 Thanks--Solar

  HI Phil !!

I knew who you were - didn't want to reveal your secret identity :green:  Figured I'd let everyone chime in with their experiences since you already know mine.
