New to DIY audio, always loved quality equipment, but it's always been out of my price range ;) As I searched for a more affordable solution with the quality I desired for HT and Music and came across GR-Research.   I'm stocked to finally find something and build something (while learning something new) that I will be happy with for years to come and share with others :).

Cheers all!

Welcome!

Have you ever heard DIY speakers?  Have you ever compared them to comparably priced finished speakers?  What's your skill level at soldering and cabinet building?  Have you considered the resale potential for DIY speakers?  Note that most DIYer's suffer from proud papa syndrome (and are the only ones who love their creations).  Do you realize that GR uses the same handful of drivers for all his decades old designs (how can they be ideal for so many applications?).

I'd audition a range of finished speakers before jumping in.
