Introducing myself
« on: 15 Feb 2020, 01:32 pm »
Hi I'm Richie... I'm an audio enthusiast, not particularly an audiophile because my wallet dictates that...  In the past I've owned Tandberg, Nakamichi, Sota Star Sapphire VIII w premier tonearm and monster cartridge,  Klipsch Cornwall II, Denon Dp61F, Adcom, Emotiva, Definitive Technologies BP20 & more.  So upper Mid-FI in some circles.

Welcome aboard!

In my book, you are absolutely an audiophile.

Spending big $$$$ on audio equipment does not make one an audiophile, loving audio, and what it can do for the love of music is all that matters.

I have everything to be an audiophile, except the most important a lot of money, to be an audiophile is need only two things, like equips and much money.

To be a music lover is need even less just like music, I was fortunate enough to have know several music lovers with great musical knowledge in Classical and Opera, unfortunately they are all dead now, it was a pleasure to meet them.

Hi, David here, a complete audio outlaw from Robin Hood country.
I have been scratting about for, developing, making and modding hifi since 1965.
I have some high end equipment (ATC active speakers for example) which remain pretty constant in my setup, but I am forever changing and fiddling with everything leading up to them. I particularly love finding that I can mod a piece of gear to improve it, and I love finding new ways of doing that with a few close hifi friends in the area.
Nice to be here too.
