L.K.S Audio MH-DA004 Dac
« on: 28 Jan 2020, 12:20 am »
Since MAR 2017, this dac has been out there creating a buzz.  But no mention of this dac here at AudioCircle.  Is this dac for real and what is your experience?

I haven't heard it either, but have read lots of good things about it elsewhere.  I currently don't have an outboard dac, just using the one in my Oppo BDP-95.  Considering the L.K.S. and the Sabaj D5.

Just pulled the trigger on one. I'll report back next week when it arrives.

I will, if it's compatible with the PS Audio Perfectwave transport.

Yeah, but it still needs to be compatible. PS Audio has its own pin configuration. I won't know if the LKS is compatible with PS Audio until I try it. My current DAC has I2S HDMI, but it doesn't work with my transport.

What I want to know how does this L.K.S DAC compare to Musical Paradise MP-D2 MK3 Deluxe DAC?

I've had the LKS for a bout a week now and here's my initial impression: the LKS is silky smooth, very musical, and the best part is that it has lots of layers. Hard to describe. It's not more detailed than my previous DAC (Gustard X22), nor does it have a better soundstage or imaging, blah, blah... Simply put, it's more fun to listen to.
