Hello, i'm Kurt from NW of Chicago
« on: 24 Jan 2020, 05:07 pm »
I'm interested in putting together a computer audio based system.  I'm thinking of getting either the new Hollis Audio Labs MS-5 Music Server or the new DMC 1 Digital Music Console by Channel Islands.  I'm hoping that I can see these units at the AXPONA show here in April.  One is almost twice the price of the other.  Don't know if there is any sonic difference between the two.

This will be my first computer audio based system so would like something that sounds great and is not buggy in its performance and is not too expensive.  Any suggestions would be welcome.  Thanks.

Hi Kurt,

I haven't taken the computer audio based approach and I'm not sure what it all entails. I have a streamer, but I'm not subscribing to any services yet. I'm strictly using it for streaming radio, "Radyo Voyage" in particular, I leave it on 24/7, it's that good. Apart from that I still spin the silver discs.  :D

Anyhow welcome to Audio Circle!  :thumb:
