I have a Bryston BDP-3 and BDA-3 and started to play with Tidal. The SQ is not near from what I get from my USB tumb or USB hardrive ripped files played via the BDP-3. I also play Tidal with the BDP-3 via an Ethernet cable.  I also have on hand a Bluesound Node 2i and use digital out to the Bryston DAC BDA-3. Again the sound is not near the quality of the ripped files played via the Bryston digital player. Any suggestion to improved the sound?

Make sure you are subscribed to Tidal HiFi, it costs more.
Then make sure your Tidal app is set to play the HiFi files.

  • To whom more was given more will be required.
