For sale is a very nice sounding, just got in trade from the original owner, pair of Mirage M5si Speakers. Not
huge, just too large for my room. Please take this into account if you are interested in them.
$600/obo picked up in SoCal.
Google the reviews - they are consistently
excellentsuch as:
http://www.audioreview.com/product/speakers/floorstanding-speakers/mirage-loudspeakers/m5si.htmlHere's a Stereophile review on their little brothers, the M-7si's:
http://www.stereophile.com/floorloudspeakers/295mirage/index.htmlThese have a symmetrically bipolar design, like their flagship M1si, and unlike the 7's in the review above. The 5's use a forward firing tweeter, a rearward firing tweeter, a forward firing mid/bass driver, and a rearward firing mid/bass driver. These 5's are superior to the 7's in the review above in every way.
Here's a Stereophile review on their bigger sibling, the M-1si's:
https://www.stereophile.com/floorloudspeakers/893mirage/index.htmlThey work 100% and sound great!
[/b]Cosmetics are really good for their age - I'd give them a critical 7
The Mirage M series of speakers are bipolar with speakers in the front and rear. The M5si can be bi-wired or bi-amped for better clarity and definition. The 5si's use a forward firing tweeter, a rearward firing tweeter, a forward firing mid/bass driver, and a rearward firing mid/bass driver.
Original price was $2,000. These are very large and heavy speakers, so shipping isn't really viable.
