Clone of old basszilla
« on: 22 Jan 2020, 03:57 pm »
Hi AC
I made a semi open baffle construction by making some kind of clone of the old basszilla concept.
I use a 12 "SB woofer in a closed box of about 110 liters, with a separate amp.
On top of this, I have a Beta 12LTA in an open baffle. I've tried several different tweeters, with different results.
I would like to try to adjust the HF level, but I am missing a simple formula for calculating the attenuation.
Are you able to help me out here?

I like this attenuation calculator, because it gives you both lpad and single series resistor values. The formulas for both are displayed. In your case, you may have to rework the formulas to solve for the unknown variable.
