Hi , my name is Steve Schmitt, I have already built a pair of XCX classic floor standers and love them. I am new to this forum. I was fortunate to find GR Research on the internet a few years ago. I do believe in DIY. The build quality of HiFi products out there is pretty pitifull in my opinion. The cabinets to start with are very cheaply bulit and you pay a premium price for it. I got away from having a really nice system for several years ( life got in the way ). I remember some of my old vintage stuff back when i was a teenager: Sansui Au 919 i think, Bose 901's, etc. My net project will be the mini monitors. I like the idea of the semi open baffle tweeter.
