Hi, I'm a budding audiophile -- I love quality music of all sorts, even if I don't always know why! -- who found your excellent site by searching for Hegel and Vinnie Rossi integrated amps. I have an older, underpowered Peachtree Nova that I wish to replace, like the simplicity of integrated, including a good Dac, and have been looking at upgrade possibilities like Hegel and Vinnie Rossi (the LIO with the DAC2 sounds amazing, even if it's a budget stretch), Simaudio, and some others. Even though (or because?) I live in a big city -- NYC! -- it's not easy to demo these locally, so I've been doing a bunch of internet-based research to come up with a short list. Maybe then I can find out where to demo them. I like buying used for all the obvious reasons and am fairly comfortable doing it. Btw, I have a set of Reference 3a mm de Capo BE monitors that I got a really good deal on a few years ago and am hoping to keep them, at least for the time being. Thank you very much. I look forward to learning from you all and hopefully returning the favor!
