Hi everybody,

After several other headphones and HD599, I just jumped and got HD800 headphones and i'm waiting for a Nuprime Dac-9H to arrive.
Hope i did a good choice. :)

I have the DAC-10 and it’s fabulous. I’m sure you’ll be happy with the DAC-9.  :D

The HD800 are most demanding with recording, source and mainly amps quality, he is very transparent and may be harsh with less good material.

Yess FullRangeMan... i already felt that, even with entry level DAC.
Activated a Deezer HIFI subscription  ... and it seems i start to like different music than my usual, because of that. Maybe it's just the DAC/AMP ... will see when i get the nuprime.

@FullRangeMan: I don't have.
My nuprime dac-9h arrived, everything perfect, but still the tremble is a bit too harsh for my taste with the HD800 headphones. Also tried HD599 ... and i feel the same. Maybe my ears have issues :))))
I would try the DIY passive filters ( eg https://diyaudioheaven.wordpress.com/headphones/passive-filters/ ), but i don't know if the nuprime dac-9h has a output resistance of less than 10ohms (required by the filter schematics in the link above )
