Hello, been checking out your site and WOW lots of info! Trying to learn about speakers and different designs. Building a small brewery and I have a pretty good size room of 30x50 with 13 foot average height ceilings (good size compared to an apartment living room lol) that I plan to book some live music in. So I am learning acoustics and also trying to figure out speaker design for playback listening..I love live sound recordings, Rock and Jazz.  So thanks for letting me ask some questions along the way.  Cheers Dean

  • To whom more was given more will be required.
    • Never go to a psychiatrist, adopt a straycat or dog. On the street they live only two years average.

Welcome I’m new to the site also.  Maybe try the NX Oticas with subs.  Look at New Record Day Ron has a pair on YouTube.  They come in a flat pack.  Choose your finish to Mach your decor of the brewery.

Welcome Pubbrewer!

Your room size, depending on how loud you want to go, would seem to be more of a application for professional sound reinforcement application than home audio systems.  And performers will have higher voltage balanced (XLR) connections anyway.  I'd talk with companies like Sweetwater (they are excellent to work with) to get ideas.  Having your own system has advantages (like having a master power/volume control at the bar and performers could travel lighter) and disadvantages (each performer would want to tweak it to their unique sound and the mixing board would have to be able to accommodate the maximum number of instruments, so some overkill would be needed).
