MOTIF MS-100 amplifier - $1350

The amplifier is in very good shape and works perfectly. This a fantastic sounding, audiophile quality amplifier with superb quality construction. The MS-100 is a 100W stereo amplifier. This is the best sounding solid state amplifier I have ever come across. I have owned and heard many over the years and used to work at a reknowned high end audio dealer in the mid eighties.

The Motif line, was the ultra high end offering from Conrad Johnson. The Motif line was produced from 1985 through 1991. This was Conrad Johnsons attempt to enter the market place of Threshold, Krell, Jeff Rowland and Mark Levinson. The Motif MS-100 amplifier features MOSFET Input and Output stages. Cosmetically the face plate has some superficial blemishes and a scrach near the power dial. The face plate is quarter inch thick and is rack mountable. The case itself is high quality brushed aluminium. On the back t are very high quality teflon insulated RCA inputs and 5 way binding posts.

The buyer will pay for insured fedex shipping, amp will be double boxed. It is currently packed in a microwave box and I will get a heavy duty larger box for added protection during shipping. Will come with a copy of the owner's manual and powere cord. Paypal users add 4% for their surcharge.

For an added $65, I recommend an ameritron startup current limiter which will prolong the life of this and any amplifier. It buffers the components from the turn on surge. I have always used it with this amp (as I noticed the lights dim when I clicked the beast on.) YOu can get a new one here:

Conrad Johnson components have steadily gone up in value-  this was the cream of the crop for this manufacturer on the solid state side-  this is an amp that will last you a long time.
