I am selling my Thorens TD-160 turntable in very good condition. The wooden base is in great shape for its age and has only a few light marks and scratches, which I have tried to capture in the photos. The original dust cover is clean and shiny and its hinges are fully intact. I am happy to provide more pictures upon request.

Functionally, the turntable works properly at both speed settings. The only issue I have encountered is that sometimes if I am playing a record at 33 rpm and then suddenly switch speed to 45 rpm while the platter is still turning, the platter stops because the belt has slipped off. Upon placing the belt back around the platter, everything works fine again. This was not really an issue for me since I seldom listen to 45s.

I purchased this from its original owner a little over two years ago and have greatly enjoyed it in my system. Only reason I am selling this is to help fund another analog purchase.

I have the original box and packaging as well as the original owner's manual. The ZYX cartridge seen in the photos is NOT included. I will include the Audio Technica AT-VM8 cartridge that came with the turntable when I purchased it.

In addition, I will include an EXTRA Thorens headshell (typically run for $50 used) and extra screws and spacers for cartridge mounting that I ordered from Vinyl Nirvana. This way you can have alternate between two different cartridges with relative ease.
