Howdy from Texas!
« on: 15 Nov 2019, 07:18 pm »
Hi ,

My name is Paul Walker. I live in Texas. I have been into music and audio for most of my life. I have owned various and sundry brands of Audio equipment and played Bass Trombone up until my mid thirties (volunteer basis). I have also had multiple custom car audio systems in various vehicles. I am a music enthusiast and love hearing different types of sounds.

I wish you all peace.

Regards,
Paul

Welcome from Houston.  Come over for a beer and some tunes if you are in the area.

Hi again,

I saw a question about Tube amps - yes I like them. I also like solid state as well. Currently, I have a Musical Paradise MP301 mk. 3. I have a Dynaco ST70 that I totally rebuild using the VTA 70 board. (only thing original is chassis). I have an elekit tu 8500 and an amp camp amp I need to put together. The last “big boy” setup I had was a Rogue 99 Magnum and Stereo 90. I sold that when I started having kids.  I have 4 kids now, but they are good around the Audio Equipment so I may start getting some nicer pieces in the near future. I still spin the silver discs and Vinyl looks intriguing, but have not gone that way yet. The Rogue kit I had sounded very good to me, also years back I had an LFD Mistral (v1), Naim cd 3, and Triangle Titus and enjoyed that combo. I have had Linn, Dynaudio, Marantz and a few other brands with varying levels of enjoyment. I also enjoyed building all three iterations of the Bottlehead Foreplay (and, of corse, sold each one...  :D)

Anyway, that is a little history.

Once again, I appreciate the warm welcome fellas.

Regards,
Paul Walker
