The RCA plugs are the Furutech FP-108(R) with UPOCC copper center pin and rhodium plating.
These D3s were purchased direct from ZenWave in October 2016. Soon after I purchased them I got a pair of D4s and these D3s have been in a drawer since. So they are in excellent condition.
I think the D3s actually work well in more systems than the D4s, since they have a bit of warmth, and the treble is smoother. They share the great tone colors and realistic bass of the D4s. Silver + gold with copper is a great combo.
The outside jackets on new D3s have changed -- it looks to me (although just guessing from the photos) like a protective layer of mesh has been place over the cotton jacket. This pair has the base cotton layer without the mesh. Newer version here:
