Looking over the Tripath website the quality of the evaluation board appears to be much better than the circuit board in the SI amp.
The parts used by Tripath are listed and there are multilayer ceramics and schottky diodes. All the parts are top notch. THe elctrolytics are Panasonic FC.  The parts on the SI board all look to be generic.
Guess this is why the Clari T and Boulder seem to be using the evaluation boards.
Am I wasting my time trying to upgrade the SI? Thinking of trying to order some evaluation boards to give them a listen. The price is high compared to the SI, but it is still real cheap.
The one area that concerns me is the dc offset. This is very inconsistant. One SI board I have has 125 mv in on channel and 27 mv in the other. The high channel is more than I like, and it cannot be good to have a big difference. This must come from the 2024 itself. Are the 2024 chips on the Tripath boards tighter matched? With the 20.00 SI I am just ordering several and selecting the lower offset to use.

Excellent questions...

Wayne is building a boulder amp for me off of the eval board.

I could never tell if Vinnie's Clari-T amp uses the eval board or does he just mod SI amp boards?  He says he does lots of tedious soldering, etc. and I just assumed he was upgrading the parts in the SI amp boards.
