Hi Frank, any chance you'll come up with an 85 WPC version of the SET 120 any time soon? Just asking :D

That would be what, 1 dB more? Not sure it'd be worth it...

Couldn't agree more. If one has a speaker that can't be properly driven by an SET 120, an "SET 170" isn't going to be the answer either. Time to step up to the SET 400.

I agree, if you need more power, choose the SET 400.

We can’t economically build an amp using SET technology with a power rating in between the SET 120 and the SET 400.

To get usefully more power than the SET 120 would require the big chassis and the only savings from the SET 400 would be that lower voltage power supply caps and single die mosfet output devices could be used along with a lower capacity power transformer.  The price for a 150W per channel version amp would only save about $200 in build cost.
