SOLD!!!!
To hasten my exit from the world of audio, I am drastically reducing the price of these tubes. I would prefer to sell all at once but if I cannot then I will be selling what I have piecemeal. At my recently reduced price, there is no reason not to buy these as there is no way one can get tubes at this price. Take what you want out of the lot and sell the others for a few bucks here and there and recoup your original cost. As always a list is available to those who want to see what is in the lot...
New Price $1820. Shipping will be via FedEx and I will more than likely have to ship these in several boxes to insure the tubes arrive unscathed.
I have just spent the last two weeks going through over 14 drawers taking inventory of all of my vacuum tubes and I have 709 tubes for sale. I have mostly very popular miniature (9 pin) tubes for sale as well as several octals to include rectifiers, and 6SN7 tubes. I have some power tubes for sale as well as some NOS RCA 6L6GC tubes in the mix as well. There are some gems in the mix and someone can make a lot of money selling these tubes off. So, if that is the case, why am I not doing that? Good question, and here is the answer: I am 65 years old and I am not inclined to post ads, ship, pack, and all that goes with the individual sale. I have done that for years and I now want to listen to music and spend my time with other pursuits. Packing these tubes to ship will be enough for me thanks.
I have almost 20 pages of tubes listed which does not seem to fit here. If you are interested, I have the inventory on a pdf and will be very happy to e-mail it to you so you can see what all I have for sale. Believe me when I say there are no dogs on this list and there also some rare ham radio tubes that look to be the size of an 81mm mortar round.
Also, all of these tubes were tested before they were packed so unless something has happened over the years of them sitting idle all tubes should be functioning as intended, no shorts or leaks. That said, all tubes were tested on my tester, not yours and I have learned that it is rare that any two testers measure the same. Mine were tested on a Roger Kennedy calibrated Eico 667.
A local sale would be nice and I would be willing to drive 125-150 miles one way to deliver so seeing as how I am in Seattle that would mean almost to Portland, or up to the Canadian border, or to the Wenatchee area.
Shipping and PP fees are on the buyer. I am open to offers but seeing as how I have over 700 tubes my price comes to a little over $4 per tube. Where can you buy NOS tubes for $4 a piece, especially very popular audiophile tubes?
I would be open to trades for a high end CDP or preamp, depending on what you have...
I will post photos soon.
Thanks for looking.
