Hi James,
Received my 3B3 today which has replaced the Lexicon NT 212 (3BST) that was driving the mids and tweeters on my PMC PB1i's. The 4BSST has replaced the other Lexicon NT 212 powering the bass drivers . This system has been growing over the years from my original Beolab 1700, Wharfdale two way book shelf speakers and the Garrard turntable with the pivoting cartridge to what it is today.
The rest of the gear is a BP 25DA pre amp, Meridian G08 CD player, Chord Mojo/Poly, Bludento Bluetooth receiver and a Logitech Squeezebox touch. Streaming via Bubbleupnp and Qobuz. Chord Chorus speaker cable and Van Den Hull balanced interconnects. Bog standard power cables.
I have played a range of CD's and streamed music today, but Sarah Brightman's Classics CD actually moved me to tears!!
The emotion just swept over me from nowhere the track was Ave Maria.
I now understand what all the audio magazine reviewers mean by inky black silence and all the descriptions about high end Hi-Fi. I reckon Bryston packers should put a box of tissues in with all your cubed equipment because a lot of your customers are going to need them!!
My wife noticed the difference straight away, she said it's just so clear (Robert Plant song to the siren).
I didn't realise that upgrading to the 3B3 would make such a difference to the overall sound!!
My thanks to everyone at Bryston for the amplification, because without you guys my music doesn't sing.
Oh and the grid covering the ATM port is to stop our Maine Coon cat digging out the foam, the little blighter.
Best regards
Barry B
