If I hadn't been away on vacation that week I would have jumped all over that.  A pair of Active 20's retails for close to 7K over here.

It was actually $5,300 for all 5.  The retail would be somewhere around $17,000.  Therefore I am sick.

You thought that was rough? I saw some B&W speakers the other day for $400 000. What the *(*&? Who would buy those?

RULE: Spend less than $500 on a used system and live a long and happy life like me.

I mean imagine paying them off with your kidney or something for that...sheesh :nono:

I can make you feel even sicker if you like ATC speakers.

In my local paper a doctor placed a classified for a full system sale.  It was comprised of QSC preamp and 4 mono amps, a Magnum Dynalab tuner, and ATC SCM300's (passive) for a grand total of $2200 obo.

Now that was deal, as I am not positve but I believe that asking price is about 5% of the MSRP of all that gear.
