Up for sale is a pair of 1625 mono block amps.  These will provide around 110 to 120 watts from each mono amp.  The front end tubes are 6BL7 tubes (one for gain, and one phase splitter).   The 1625 tube is a 12 volt version of the 807, which is an excellent tube for audio.  The 1625 tubes were made during the early and mid 40's, when the tube quality was pretty high.  Best of all, they are reasonably priced.  They are pretty rugged to boot.

I run the bias for each tube at 30 ma, but the tube can be biased up to 40 ma safely.   Together, with the Thomas Mayer clone preamp (also offered up for sale), this amp sounds excellent.  The output stage is configured for pentode, which I have found to be a better option over ultra-linear.  The transformers were made by Heyboer, and the choke is NOS.  The output transformer is set at 4 ohms, which makes it compatible with more speakers.  The resistors are 1 watt PRP, and the coupling caps are Mundorf Silver/Gold.  This combo sounds excellent together.

Will provide a spare set of tubes with purchase.  The tubes installed have fairly low hours on them.

Reason for sale:  I have two sets of tube equipment, and only can use one set at a time.  This set is likely more desirable to a potential owner.

Asking  1200.00 .   Prefer local pickup in central FL, but can ship at owners expense.  Also selling 6AH4 preamp, and will provide price break if both units purchased.  The 6AH4 preamp matches very well with the 1625 power amp.

Good stuff.  I've also a large quantity on hand as well, most of which are NOS MIL-SPEC.

Bump.

Serious buyers: If interested, amps could be auditioned prior to purchase.  These have proven to be very reliable.

Bump.

Also have a pair of 8552/6883B mono block power amps available.  These put out between 80 to 90 watts per channel.  The font end uses 6BL7 tubes.  The design is similar to the 1625 amps, but these have additional taps from the power transformer for the front end tubes.   The bias for these tubes is set between 20 to 25 ma, which provides good life.  The plate cap design allows for 600 volts on the plate, which is what these have.  Has Mundorf Silver/Gold coupling caps, and 1 watt PRP resistors.  The output transformer is rated for 120 watts, and has both a 4 ohm and 8 ohm tap.

The power tubes can be had for a reasonable price.  Will provide a NOS spare set of tubes as well.

Asking 1100.00  for this.

The plan is to sell one set of power amps, and keep the other amps.

Prefer local pickup, but can be shipped at buyers expense.  These are heavy (50 to 60 lbs), so expect shipping to be priced accordingly.  Add 3% for PayPal.

Wound up keeping the amps.  However, since obtaining new playback hardware, haven't been using these much.

Therefore, these are up for sale again, with a lowered price of 1200.00 per pair.  Would prefer a local sale but can ship at buyer's expense.

These were made by Charlie Cocci, who many of you know.  He makes a first-class product.

Since I have not been using these amps for an extended period of time, I'm looking to sell them at a loss to make room and have others enjoy them.

Therefore, both sets of amps are available for 500.00 per pair.  The only catch is that local pickup is the only viable option.  All the amps work, and were made by a quality craftsman.

Also have scads of NOS spare tubes for these.
