gene9p,

As a full member, you should be well aware of the rules of this site regarding trashing of threads.  In case you aren't aware, here's the policy as stated in the "Do's and Don'ts":

"Trashing theads
Sometimes people decide to systematically delete (or remove all content from) all of their posts in a thread. Or sometimes just all, until they get worn out or we stop them. This creates unnecessary work for the Admins in cleaning up the mess and we don't like it. It's also rude. So if you do this, we may stop you by disabling your account. The Trading Post is included in this - trashing your Trading Post threads may get your account disabled.
"

There seems to be an epidemic of this lately and I don't know why.......

You deleted all the content of your ad.  You deleted pictures, the price, description etc.

I don’t make the rules, I just try and follow them. (See above from the rules section). There are many times when I’m looking for an item, I do a search to get more info.  If you delete the content, there is nothing to see and compare.  That’s the point.

We use audiocircle as a free service to buy and sell gear as well as have discussions with others including manufacturers.  No other audio site allows users to scrub their ads.

I guess my question is why do you feel you need to scrub your ad after you’ve sold something?  The rules state if you do that, you can be barred from using the site.  Is that what you want?

Have you read the rules for posting classified ads?

yup..but since no one here responded to the ad, made an offer or bought them, it is my privilege to remove any info from the ad for something no one wanted here. The responses I am getting is from a noob harassing me in bold type about who I am and what I am doing wrong since they are no longer available. You have a question, pm me..don't publicly insult me.

AudioCircle is a place for audiophiles to share experiences and knowledge with each other about their hobby in a friendly and helpful atmosphere. The name of the site invokes the well-known phrase "circle of friends." You should treat other people on the site as though they are your friends (even if you disagree with them).

It is assumed that everyone who joins this site is an intelligent adult. You are responsible for any responses or actions caused by any text or images that you place on this site. We therefore expect you to behave accordingly. Write as though the people you are addressing were standing in front of you. It's OK to disagree with what others say, but keep it at the level that you would if you were conversing face-to-face. We encourage you to have fun and learn and share, and "don't sweat the small stuff." Remember that it's just a hobby!

Please note that we have a no dirty laundry policy here. That means that you cannot use this site to launch attacks against or to further disputes you have with other people or businesses. If you have a disagreement with someone else on a thread on this site, that is normal, just keep it reasonably civil. If you have a disagreement that originated somewhere else, don't bring it here and make it our problem.

Project much?

It's truly amazing how someone who refuses to follow the rules of this site feels the need to lash out at someone just merely pointing out those rules.  I was actually trying to be helpful in a civil manner to keep you out of trouble.  Your response to my posting says more about you.  How sad.

So only quote the rules you think further your cause.
