I have a pair of MINT Klipsch Forte III's for sale. These are the Heritage Series and in the awesome Distressed Oak Finish with Lambs Wool Magnetic Speaker Grills. They list at $1999.00 Each. I bought them a few months ago from an authorized dealer and have all of the original packaging. I am asking $3600 + actual shipping fees. Each box is 16" x 19" x 39" and weighs 80lbs. They come from a Pet free, Smoke free and Kid free home. They are Like New as I did not use them for long. I ran them with dual MC240 Tube Amps. They are super efficient so you don't need a lot of power to drive them. I put a little video clip together here for you to check them out in action  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SaljHxomtts&t=3s

I am located in Illinois ZIP 60090. I can arrange for a Demo if any interest.

Someone asked for some Klipsch Drums! https://youtu.be/OY60YcKYJX8  :thumb:

If I may offer my 2 cents, generally used/pre-owned gear sells for approx. 65% of its new retail value.  Exceptions are for very popular products, or rare, or vintage gear.  If something doesn't sell in few weeks, generally the asking price is too high.  Your mileage may vary.

Thanks, I’m familiar with everything you’ve stated. I am accepting honest offers on these but will just hang on to them for another year or two at which point I could still get the 65% of its NRV. Also, there’s a difference between used equipment with no warranty left Vs. Equipment that is only a few months old with balance of manufacturer warranty still remaining. They don’t both equal 65% of its new retail value. Also, as you somewhat point out, the value also depends on what the equipment is, the overall condition, what it includes, and how highly it is sought after. So I think your 65% statement is a bit inaccurate when it comes to this specific offering.

Anyway, I did have a demo yesterday and do have an interested buyer, but he was wanting to demo another and different set of speakers before making his final decision.

Thanks and happy listening!

With warranty??

Occasionally even a blind squirrel finds a nut!

Like I said, I’ll keep them for a year and then sell if I have to go that low.

If you’re not interested, why hijack the thread??

FYI - Klipsch warranties are non-transferrable.

Loved the video in the original post, by the way.  Great sound quality and beautiful setup.

IMO, it's closer to 50%, depending on rarity, etc.
Personally, I try not to pay more than that for used gear, because retail markup generally ~ 100%. If I buy new, that markup gets me a warranty, 15-30 day return privilege, and pays the electric bill in the store where I can audition the product all day long. When you buy used, you get nøne of this, so why pay any of that 100% retail markup?

I agree. It is generally considered poor form to crap on a sale thread.

Some may feel that asking for 90% of list price, and proceeding directly to "offers considered" is tantamount to running an auction, without making an honest effort to set a price at or near the going rate for that item.
This too is generally considered poor form, and is forbidden on many forums.

This is not e-bay.

  • Without music, life would be a mistake.
I have a pair of Heritage Forte IIIs and they are phenomenal.  This is a good deal on some great speakers.

Audiophiles should note - Klipsch has a reputation for sounding hot/bright.  But the Forte III speakers are not hot at all, quite smooth in the midrange in fact.  For people that like lots of dynamics and a smooth midrange, the Forte III might just be the best speaker Klipsch has ever made.

AND they are designed to still sound great near a wall or corner.  Which makes placing them in a 'real' room a breeze.

Good luck with the sale!

Thanks a lot!! I am quite impressed with them myself, and so easy to drive them. The detail is fantastic. They’re just too much for my now small listening space.
Hopefully someone is looking for a pair. These are basically new.

I appreciate your input on my Ad!
