This is a black Rega Brio-R integrated amp in very good condition.
For over 20 years the Brio has been a great success for Rega, in 3 sequential versions. The Brio-R is the middle version and was sold from 2010 to 2017.
"The Rega Brio-R sets the benchmark and then some." This comment from one of the many glowing reviews sums this amp up neatly. A S'phile writer Sam Tellig favorite. This compact (13.5"d x 8.5"w x 3.25"h) integrated amp has had a reputation for many years as easily on of the best sounding amplifiers for $1000.
It has excellent drive across the range, a full bodied sound, wonderful balance and musical "rightness" that may be hard to define but which this amp aces.

http://northcoastaudio.com/rega_brio-r.htmlIt has a strong 50 WPC at 8 ohms which I've used with inefficient $3-6000 speakers in a 12x16 room without feeling shortchanged for volume or musical enjoyment. Solidly built as well; it weighs 13 lbs.
This has the $125 Rega Solaris System Remote Control, not the more basic unit. It has 4 line level analog inputs and a MM phono input and stage which is reputedly very good, which I have not used. There are also stereo line outs.
There are a few small marks on the case, and a 1 inch-long scratch on one side, and some fogging on the face, otherwise it looks great and everything works well.
Looking for a compact amp with guts and beauty for minimal $? This will do very well.
