Maybe Neil can provide that "second sysytem" at my March Rave. I believe he lives a few miles from me.
Ask the Ravers at the next meeting if they would be interested.

Good idea about checking out Neil's system along with yours at your March Rave. See if you could arrange it....plenty of raver's are always interested in new products. Thanks !! :thumb: [/list:u]

That speaker does nothing for me looks wise (although it has a nice looking veneer), but If I lived out that way, I would be interested in the DK Design Group VS-1 MKII integrated amp.

Looks like a winner.....but you can't tell how something sounds by how it looks.

Wolfy, why don't you see if you can give a listen to that integrated?

Well, hopefully, Emil can work something out with Neil and the whole Rave group can hear it. I do know my good friend Carlman has one in his system now. Should be a review by him in the near future....my guess. Does look interesting !!!! 8) [/list:u]

the reimer speakers have always intrigued me.  i 1st heard their hi-vi research ribbon in the swan m1.2, which i thought fantastic - one of the best trebles these ears have heard.  the woicing of the speaker itself was a bit ripe in the mid-bass for my tastes, but i bet it was yust that - the woicing - & not the sonic signature of the hi-vi midwoofers.  psychicanimal *loves* his swan m1's, which use similar, but smaller hi-vi ribbons & midwoofers...

the speakers i am presently listening to - coincident victory's - use an iteration of this same hi-vi research ribbon, for its frequencies >4khz...  i look forward to hearing folks' opinions on the reimers...

I'm hoping to do some comparisons this coming weekend.  My initial impressions are very good however I will have a hard time comparing to the AKSA since it's now gone... and memory is not as good.  I will say that they are different and not better or worse... however, it's really tough (for me) to compare an integrated to a stand-alone amp anyway...

But, I do plan to compare the DK to another top-notch integrated. :)   I'll also be comparing some PC audio... all this coming weekend :)

After that, I will be comparing Usher X-718's modified vs. unmodified... but that'll be at least a month or 2 before everything is finished and burned-in.

After that (or possibly about the same time), I'll be comparing Eastern Electric's new 50wpc tube integrated and phono preamp to the DK.

                I think I need a newsletter. ha!
