Elekit TU8233 amplifier in excellent condition operationally and cosmetically. 3.5wpc with 2A3 triodes (included). 7wpc with 300B's (not included). The 2A3's and 6SN7's included have low hours and are in pristine shape. The circuit automatically detects when you switch power tubes, and the volume knob lights up in a different colour. This amp is autobiasing, runs in Class A mode and runs very cool. Filament hum is almost non-existent, about as low as you'll find with any direct-heated triode amp. Solid state rectification gives it a more precise, modern sound, with excellent bass control. It is VERY quiet, and sounds fantastic with high-sensitivity speakers. 8 and 4 Ohm operation, with a switch on the rear panel. This amp also features universal voltage capability, with the switch of one internal connector.
This is a kit amp (hence the very reasonable price) from Elekit Japan, and the premium parts include their famous R-core power transformer, ceramic tube sockets, and Mundorf Supreme EVO Silver Gold film capacitors (an extra cost upgrade). The soldering work is as good as any amp I've seen, whether kit- or factory-built. Elekit is supported in North America by VK Music in BC.
