I've read here for a while and finally joined.
My audio journey has taken me from solid state to flea-powered milli-watt tube amps, to the latest-gen high power class D.
Sources have gone from a Rega Planet CD player in the late 90's and later Rega Io (both Delta-Sigma DAC chips) to a non-oversampling USB DAC played from a nettop running PureOS.
Speakers - formerly N.E.A.R. 40Me's paired with SS, Fostex FE206's paired with tubes, and finally audiodata Elance (acoustic suspension, ball-bearing mass-loaded towers, 90 dB, 4 ohm).
I already learned about two fine offerings from the Cheap & Cheerful section (Nobosound passive & FX Audio tube buffer).
