What to do with area behind large projector screen?
« on: 28 Jan 2005, 12:37 am »
Between my L & R speakers hangs a 7' wide DIY projector screen.  The screen is made from painted blackout material and a felt wrapped wooden frame.  The screen hangs about 8" out from the front wall.  My mains are located 12" to the left and right of the screen.  If I attached 8" fiberglass insulation bats to the back of the screen would this be useful for bass trap?  Any other ideas as to what could be done in the cavity behind my screen (7 ft wide, 5 ft tall and 8" deep)?

Thanks

Sure, it can only help. But you should also consider additional fiberglass placed in the room corners for even more bass trapping.
