I'm looking into stepping up my power amps and wish to get the WOTL as to
what to get at the 2K +/- price point (used).
I currently have a pair
of Quicksilver KT88 that I like but seem a bit anemic in the lower end
when paired with the Vandersteen 3A. I'm looking at the Rogue Audio Magnum
120 or the quick silver V4s both of which can be had at a bit over $2000.
I am a bit partial to the Quicksilver as I've dealt with Mike Sanders
and liked his hands on approach in regards to servicing his equipment,
but willing to listen to others advice.
Before I go any further I'd like
to try the KT88's/ 3As wire thru the 1 Ohm outputs but don't know if that
would harm/change anything. If I try that will it damage any of my gear?
