I got 3 sets over the past few months because of the sale. They are the best constructed speaker wires I've ever seen besides Transparent. They sound terrific also. Be aware that they are very stiff and difficult to work with.

i believe they come w/ both (banana plugs that slide into the spade lugs)...

They come with both spades and bananas, they screw on/off. They are somewhat difficult to work with due to the stiffness of the wire. If you are using bananas and have speakers on a stand they have to be EXACTLY the same length, I have one that is a fraction of an inch off, the + is completely in the - cannot be push all the way in due to the stiffness. If using spades, after screwing them on the cable, they don't necessarily face the same angle, again, due to the stiffness you have somewhat wrestle with it. I think some of these flaws might be why they are blowing them out. Also the banana's seem cheap to me and the spades are fairly well made.

If you're on their weekly mailing list, they had coupon codes where I purchased 2M preludes for $50 and 3M Plus for $150, both with free delivery. They are still sending those e-mails, this is a case where spam is good.

How different are the sound of the Prelude and the Plus? The website mentions that the Plus has a more "robust" sound but the Prelude already has a huge amount of copper (8 or 10 gauge equivalent). Thanks.

Visually, side by side, they are identical in build. Sonically, I really couldn't tell the difference. You are right, there is a lot of copper, PSA is a great marketing machine, maybe too much so, even I ate their line the fact that I bought the Plus. I'm willing to bet there's not a whole lot of difference between the Prelude and Statement.

Use the Audio Advisor $25.00 off coupon WN11825 when ordering either the Prelude or the Plus. I can't believe anyone would hear much of a difference between 10 gauge and 8 gauge wire. That being said, $56.00 shipped for a 2 meter pair of the Prelude seems like a reasonable deal.

This is getting a bit old. If you look hard enough (and you don't have to look too hard), you can find something to boycot about almost any company. It's cool that you are taking a stand on principal but can't you do better than monster? Why not find some company that really pisses you off and do something completely crazy like send a subscription for "Barely Legal" magazine to the CEO but send it to his office so his secretary opens it and thinks he's a perv! Word will spread around the company faster than Paris Hilton on X. Better yet, find out where the offending CEO lives fly there and key his Ferrari or put sugar in the gas tank! That might be fun...

I just ordered the PSA Statement Biwire for 2M for $249.98. This is a damn good deal ! Does anybody know how long does it take to break in this cable ?
