I still have the originals if anyone wants to reinstall them. The preamp was functioning 100% with them, and super quiet.

This is a tremendous preamplifier. First, it was put together by deHavilland engineer Kara Chaffee. She reduced the number of inputs to accomodate the better RCA's. The Power supply is custom by her with a 6X5 tube. The power knob has been disabled as there is a new switch up front. The power supply can on the rear is now gone as the new caps are inside. Its easier to ship that way actually.
Ms. Chaffee made a sturdy front plate to mount the faceplate.
The best thing is the the caps are Cardas Golden Ratio int he most important positions, as well as Audiocaps and k40's. The controls are mostly quiet. But that can change depending on sensitivity of your speakers (with my Corals the whisps are louder than with the Soliloquy monitors, BUT, I purchased a proper 4 gang pot to have as a spare. Its a lot better than the original.
I used this preamp with my NRG A150 S that is also for sale, as well as Grundig NF-10 and NF-20 and its superb with them all.
The tubes included are ok sounding RCA.
Only reason I am selling my 2 preamps is that I received a K & K MIR preamp, and need to recoup. This is a unique item and will not regret having this preamp.
