what's the optimal listening distance?  seems this design means ya cannot be too close, or too far away.

Hi doug, sorry for the delay in response, long weekend digging out.
  Honestly, I have not had these speakers in my listening room to give my personal impression but I have heard from others that they are or can be tricky when it comes to placement.
