CELESTION SL700 speakers. I'm continuing to downsize my hoard of gear. I sold off my SL600's and SL600si's already and now I'm offering up my SL700
I'll spare you the hype and commentary except to say, they image like speakers that cost 10 times their market value ( think Magico, ATC, Harbeth)
and for those with quality power amps that aren't shy on output, the SL700 will perform at the their peak.
$ SOLD!!! for the pair plus packing and shipping. Mine are conservatively rated as 8/10 condition overall . Those Aerolam cabinets are fragile as all hell but mine have survived quite well with only some minor blemishes.
BI Wire cables are a MUST , or you can DIY jumpers. Celestion used an odd termination system and originally supply fairly chintzy jumpers which almost never survive as long as the speakers do.
STANDS:I've got 1 set of official SL700 stands offered by Celestion (there was also a prototype version as seen in the Audio Magazine review of the SL700 but those never went into production , there were only a few pair made) these are the final production version - They are complete with spikes , mounts and resting cones for the SL700's ( they can and should be filled with Lead shot as recommended by Celestion) .
