Dear all ,
I have a pre-amplifier , it used a 5687 tube , i want to choose the best 5687 for it but I don't know which the best tube , Anyone who has experience with the 5687 ball please help me choose the best ball, I know ball 5687 is the ball with very high noise and microphonics

I would buy the GE 5 stars tube serie, according the GE book 1973 its a long life version.
GE five stars special quality tubes for critical applications.

The best sounding 5687 I've used in my preamp is the Bendix 6900 followed by the Tung Sol "skinny plate".

64’ Bendix Redbank. Very good bass, holographic imaging, seem less highs, and great dynamics. One of my absolute favorite tubes! The human voice is sublime.

I have tested quite a few in my Audio Note DAC and I do like the GE 5 stars the most. Much better than the Tung Sol...
